The impetus was the credit crisis in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The choice to work as a therapist aligns with my childhood experiences regarding wanting to be normal and not feeling normal. At the same time, I had no idea what this was supposed to entail or what I was capable of.<\/p>\n<p>Almost sixty years later, I know a bit more about it and feel more familiar with experiences of pain and joy, connected and detached, hated and loved.<\/p>\n<p>Being able to experience these feelings offers me space to live more freely and to practice the profession of therapist. It is not an easy task, and it also offers me the insight to refrain from judging myself and others.<\/p>\n<p>Until recently, alongside my work, I held board positions that I have all resigned from. Good interpersonal contact leads to change and a reduction in complaints.<\/p>\n<p>My style is open-minded and experience-oriented. I believe it&#039;s important that we can look at ourselves and our relationships in diverse ways. This paves the way for gaining new experiences and, in turn, gaining the choice to change.<\/p>\n<p>I believe it&#039;s important for clients to have freedom of choice regarding the type of therapy and therapist. This helps foster a supportive partnership. Hence the orientation meetings.
